My name is Robert and I created StokeBay.com in 2004 when I moved to Wilmington, NC as a for profit business. My idea was to create vacation rental and real estate portals for action sport enthusiasts. Because of my passion for surfing, I started with StokeBay.com, but had plans for StokeWhiteWater (kayaking/rafting), StokeMountain (skiing/snow boarding), etc.

I have since moved on to other endeavors which consume all of my time and have decided to advertise StokeBay.com for sale. It would be ideal for an individual who has a passion for surfing, snow boarding, kayaking etc and also has an entrepreneurial spirit and the technical resources to take the concept to the next level.

As of current, there is no solid revenue model. The original plan was to charge homeowners and property management companies a listing fee to advertise their vacation homes. I did not put much energy into executing on that idea, however it still may be the best path to realize the business.

I would like to sell the StokeBay concept. I would also entertain the idea of a partnership with someone who I think could manage day-to-day operations and materialize the business. If you have an interest, please email me at
